📌 EVENT UPDATE: LNY CELEBRATION
Our LNY Celebration "Roaring into the Year of the Tiger" has been postponed indefinitely due to Omicron. Our team has made the decision of prioritizing our community's health and wellbeing. We'll be reassessing at the end of the month to see if we will continue on another date or cancelling the event until next year. Thank you all for understanding! We can't wait to see everyone in-person again.
A special shout-out to our phenomenal team of student advisors who worked tirelessly to co-design this event. They made every effort to ensure the CO community would have an amazing time at the event! We appreciate you so much: Elise, Janelle, Katie, Madeline, and Saige 💕
✨ NEW YEAR, NEW LOOK
We updated our website! We wanted to start the new year off on a fresh page, quite literally 😜 We love seeing photos of our community represented on our site now. Feel free to check out our new look and let us know what you think.
📌 COMMUNITY UPDATES
APABA'S 2ND ANNUAL LNY GIFT DRIVE
APABA and Colorado Asian Culture and Education Network (CACEN) are organizing their second annual Lunar New Year Gift Drive benefiting Asian refugees in Colorado.
With the ongoing pandemic, many refugee families are struggling financially to make ends meet, and celebrating Lunar New Year may be tough again this year. With this gift drive, they are asking our Colorado community to come together to help make LNY a special time for these families.
Donors will be matched with refugee families served by the non-profit, Asian Pacific Development Center, and will be asked to create a Lunar New Year basket or bag for the family they have been matched with. In lieu of gift baskets/bags, donors are also welcome to donate red envelopes. We ask that gifts be delivered to APDC on Feb 9, 10, 11, and 12. More details about the drive can be found in the Sign Up Genius here.
